PHOTOGRAPHY FOR MODELS & PERFORMERS

Where persona meets production—crafted portraits for artists who move culture.

Dan Santoni’s photography for models and performers exists in a space between fashion, editorial, and cinematic world-building. These aren’t passive portraits. Each image is a collaboration—a stylized but intimate look into identity, artistry, and self-expression.

From clean portfolio updates to complex, high-concept sets, the process is immersive, personal, and designed to elevate your creative presence.

Dan’s approach to photographing talent comes from a long history in storytelling. Years of working with musicians, actors, stylists, and labels have shaped an understanding that every client brings their own energy to the lens.

Some shoots need to be sleek and minimal. Others require drama, grit, or something more surreal. Dan adapts, and combines practical set builds, precision lighting, and post-production artistry to meet the subject where they are.

A VISION BUILT AROUND THE ARTIST

Your model photography experience always begins with a conversation and your session is built around your creative goals and personality.

Dan works with:

  • Actors and theater performers
  • Professional and fashion models
  • Dancers and stage performers
  • Celebrity talent in need of custom visual content

For talent with an established image or a brand to represent, Dan is available to collaborate closely with stylists, agents, and creative teams. For independent clients, he provides full creative direction—including lighting, concept, and set design guidance—while welcoming input and references to align with your vision.

CREATIVE DIRECTION & STYLING

Dan is best known for bold lighting, stylized setups, and images that feel cinematic and intentional. Your shoot might involve sculpted light, background construction, and layered sets designed to give depth to the frame. LED lighting is used throughout to allow maximum control—helping create detail-rich highlights, shadows, and color blends.

Styling, hair, and makeup can be arranged upon request. Dan works with a trusted network of HMUAs and stylists familiar with editorial, beauty, and performance-forward work. You are also welcome to bring in your own team. Styling and glam services are quoted separately and tailored to the needs of each shoot.

Your session includes a pre-shoot consultation, covering:

  • Wardrobe and styling notes
  • Posing, references, and mood boards
  • Shoot flow and logistics
  • Studio or location selection
  • Optional prop, background, or creative concept development

Dan is available to shoot in his studio space, but is open to working on-location, in outdoor environments, or at client-provided spaces. He regularly shoots throughout the Los Angeles area and is available for regional and out-of-state travel when scheduled in advance and for an additional fee.
